Youth Ministry

The Youth Department is an exciting place for teens from 7th-12th grade. We offer a variety of programs and activities that will strengthen their faith in Christ, solidify Christ-like character in their lives, and encourage fellowship with other young people who have a desire to serve God.

Bible Class

Each Sunday morning, our youth group meets at 10 A.M. for fellowship around the Word of God. Sunday School is a time for exciting singing, testimonies, and Bible teaching. Lessons are prepared and given to meet the needs of young people in today's world. We currently have classes designed for: 7th & 8th Grade Boys 7th & 8th Grade Girls 9th-10th Grade Boys 9th-10th Grade Girls 11th-12th Grade Boys 11th-12th Grade Girls

On Purpose Youth Conference

West Gate Baptist Church and Florida Baptist College hosts the annual On Purpose Youth Conference the last weekend of March. This gives Christian young people the opportunity to fellowship, enjoy activities, and, more importantly, hear the preaching of God's Word. Sample Schedule Friday 5:30 PM -- Dinner 6:30 PM -- Games 7:15 PM -- Evening Service 8:30 PM -- After-Service Activities Saturday 8:00 AM -- Breakfast 9:00 AM -- Breakout Session 1 9:55 AM -- Breakout Session 2 11:00 AM -- Morning Service 12:30 PM -- Dismiss

On Purpose Summer Recharge

Summer Recharge is a summer camp-style four-day event hosted on the campus of West Gate Baptist church for youth and young adults. The week is packed full of games, off-campus activities, special music, and, of course, preaching. Sample Daily Schedule: 8:30 -- Welcome 8:45-9:15 -- Session 9:15-9:45 -- Morning game 9:45 -- Morning Service 11:00 -- Lunch 11:45-4:30 -- Off-campus Activities 6:00-6:45 -- Dinner 7:00 -- Evening Service 10:00 (after service) -- Activities Activities Include: -- Celebration Station -- Altitude Trampoline Park -- Knockerball -- Basketball Connect 4 -- Ultimate Frisbee
